This course invites students who have previously participated in “Exploring Tainan” to embark on a journey starting from the gas explosion incident involving a sperm whale in Tainan. The course aims to draw profound lessons on protecting our beautiful planet. Students will explore the limitless possibilities of sustainable energy, rich local culture, and whale and dolphin rescue efforts. Through exploration and practice aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), we aim to build a more harmonious and coexisting world while learning to care for marine life and respect nature. This is not only a field-based learning journey but also a spiritual awakening and transformation.
This semester, the course will additionally incorporate Generative Artificial Intelligence (GAI) tools, using a manga-based narrative structure and speculative design perspectives to discuss ecological conservation as well as local and global issues.

(2) Venue: Hook Classroom, 1st Floor, Life Science Teaching Building - Attendance must follow the required sign-in and sign-out regulations.
- Students must complete the “Exploring Tainan” course as a prerequisite.
- Admission will be determined based on the content of the application form.
- Selected students will be enrolled via the online course add system after notification.
