Announcement of the 2nd Batch of the Ministry of Education “Study Abroad Scholarship – Xizhu Scholarship” for Academic Year 114
Basis: Regulations of the Ministry of Education’s “Guidelines for Subsidizing Domestic Universities to Send Students Abroad for Study or Professional Internship” (see Attachment 2)
Description:
1. Eligibility:
- Graduating PhD students of Academic Year 113 at this university.
- Must be a citizen of the Republic of China with household registration in Taiwan.
- Must have studied at this university for at least one semester (excluding in-service programs offered domestically or overseas).
- Applicants must plan to depart after the announced funding results and before July 31, 115, to study abroad as exchange students for credit transfer. (Supporting documents are required. Each semester must include at least 3 passed courses, and at least 1 course must be related to the student’s major at this university.)
- Must meet one of the following qualifications certified by municipal or county/city authorities (certificates issued by village chiefs, borough chiefs, or elected representatives are not accepted):
(1) Low-income household or lower-middle-income household status.
(2) Special circumstances family assistance.
(3) Living allowance for persons with disabilities.
(4) Living assistance for disadvantaged children and youth.
(5) Emergency living assistance for disadvantaged children and youth families.
(6) Living allowance for low- to middle-income elderly persons in the same household registration.
