Please note that students who wish to enroll in Coursera courses must submit an application for an account via the online form by June 23, 2025 (Monday), before end of business hours.

Applications are open to undergraduate students of the Department of Life Sciences (excluding students with minor/double major status in the department, exchange students, and students in overseas internship programs).

1. Operating procedure: Submit Coursera account application → Selection and announcement of approved applicants on the department website homepage → Course add/drop registration via the NCKU course selection system according to the Registrar’s Office schedule.
2. Account allocation principles:
   (1) Priority order: Sophomore → Senior → Junior → Freshman.
   (2) Order of application submission.
   (3) Eligibility: Must be a domestic undergraduate student enrolled in Semester 114-1.
3. Other regulations:
   (1) To maximize resource efficiency, Coursera account access is limited to one-time allocation during enrollment. Only students who have never received access are eligible to apply. If a student is granted access but voluntarily declines, only one cancellation is allowed; students who decline twice will no longer be eligible for Coursera account access.
   (2) Students with access may enroll in up to 6 credits of Coursera courses per semester (also subject to the university’s credit limit of 6 credits).
   (3) Course grading policies are determined by the course instructor and may include assignments or examinations.
   (4) The Coursera platform will close on January 10 at 23:59. If instructors have additional requirements, those will take precedence.
   (5) Courses for Semester 114-1 will open for enrollment during the second round of course selection. Please refer to the Bilingual Office website for detailed schedules.

• Students who already hold an account will retain access until the end of the semester (July 2025), after which selection will be re-evaluated according to university announcements.
• The department has selected three Coursera courses that will be recognized as elective credits for graduation requirements.
• Non-departmental Coursera courses listed in the NCKU Course Selection System Coursera Section are generally recognized as outside-department elective credits. Other Coursera courses are considered self-learning enrichment and will not be recognized as departmental credits.
