Coursera Platform Access Registration for the 2nd Semester of Academic Year 113

The Bilingual Education Center of our university is now accepting applications for access to the Coursera platform for the 113-2 semester.
* Students who already have accounts from this department: access will expire at the end of this semester (January 2025) and will be re-evaluated according to university selection rules.
Applications are open to undergraduate students of the Department of Life Sciences (excluding double majors, minors, exchange students, and overseas internship students).
1. Students who wish to enroll in Coursera courses must apply via the
application form
(deadline: Monday, December 30 at 12:00 noon).
1) Workflow: Apply for Coursera account → selection of eligible students → announcement of selected list in early January on the department website → course selection during Phase 2 and Phase 3 (Feb 4–8, Feb 13–25) via the NCKU course registration system.
2) Selection priority rules:
① Priority order: Sophomore → Senior → Junior → Freshman.
② Order of application submission time.
③ Eligibility: must be an enrolled domestic undergraduate student in 113-2 (courses will be integrated into in-person classes).
④ To maximize resource efficiency, Coursera account access is limited to one allocation per student during their study period, with each account valid for one semester only.
⑤ Each approved student may take up to 6 credits of Coursera-related courses per semester; credits beyond this limit will be subject to departmental approval.
⑥ Course grading methods are determined by the instructor (additional assignments or exams may be required).
⑦ Courses for 113-2 will open for selection after Phase 2 (Feb 4, 2025). Further updates will be announced on the Bilingual Education Center website.
⑤ Each approved student may take up to 6 credits of Coursera-related courses per semester; credits beyond this limit will be subject to departmental approval.
⑥ Course grading methods are determined by the instructor (additional assignments or exams may be required).

* The department has selected 3 courses that are recognized as departmental elective credits for graduation requirements. Students are encouraged to enroll.
* Non-Department Coursera Courses:
1) Courses listed in the NCKU Course System Coursera Section are generally recognized as non-department elective credits.
2) Other Coursera courses are for personal enrichment only and cannot be counted toward Life Sciences Department credits.
