114-2 Coursera Platform Access Registration

- Operational Procedure: Apply for a Coursera platform account via the application form ➜ the list of approved applicants will be reviewed and announced on the Department of Life Sciences website homepage ➜ according to the Office of Academic Affairs course selection announcement, students must proceed with add/drop (withdrawal) procedures through the NCKU course selection system.
- Eligibility Requirements:
(1) Undergraduate and graduate students who are still enrolled in the 114-2 semester (excluding in-service programs); a limited number of international students may also be eligible under specific conditions.
(2) Priority will be given to students in their second year (and above). - Other Regulations:
(1) Students who receive an account may enroll in up to 6 credits per semester for undergraduate students, and up to 3 credits per semester for graduate students in Coursera courses offered by the university. Whether these credits count toward graduation requirements depends on departmental regulations. (Credit limits also apply in the course registration system.)
(2) Students must obtain Coursera account access before they can enroll in courses through the registration system, and must follow the Office of Academic Affairs' course selection announcements for add/drop procedures.
(3) Course grading policies are determined by the course instructor. (Assignments or examinations may be required if specified.)
(4) To maximize resource efficiency, Coursera account access is limited to once during the study period, each time for one semester, and only students who have never previously obtained access may apply. If a student has been notified of account allocation but chooses to withdraw the application for any reason, withdrawal is limited to one time; students who withdraw twice will no longer be eligible to apply for Coursera account access. - Please apply for a Coursera account via the online form before 2025.11.17 (Wed) end of business hours at online application form.

- Students who already have accounts in the department may use their access until the end of this semester (January 2026). Subsequent allocation will follow university announcements.
- The department has selected two courses that are recognized as in-department elective credits for graduation. Students are welcome to enroll.
- Courses not offered by the Department of Life Sciences but listed in the NCKU Course Registration Coursera Section will generally be recognized as out-of-department elective credits. Other Coursera courses are for students’ personal interest and self-learning enrichment and will not be counted toward Department of Life Sciences graduation credits.
